Lariggan Brook at Alverton

The old ford bridge (clapper bridge) is still to be seen at the base; The present road level is 4 feet above the old ford level; the whole of the bend was awash with water as it released from the mill pool, across the side lane and over the Alverton Lane, and down to the lower channel which drove the mill wheel (set in the vertical wall to the left of the picture).
Access and pictures by permission of the owner of the land.
Given time, a plan and scheme of the watercourse mill can be prepared
Aw shucks, it s just my job, Ma am. ::15:
I have a set of plans and specifications for water mills printed in 1740 or so.
