Apparently this building has been aided by English Heritage Grant and Isles of Scilly Grants. They clearly appreciate that some things are worth the effort and expense. I note that even the glass lenses in the framed pavement panel are still there; I think Penzance has had all of theirs removed to date. I personally can remember a dozen or more in Penzance, let alone the metal grid light wells (some of those still exist).
