Watersports in Penzance Harbour 1903
(where now is set a car park)
Showing the shipping wharf and derrick crane of the Branwell's Grain Store.
I do not suppose anyone fell into the harbour or had a bag of grain drop on them or was driven by anything except community spirit and the need for sharing FUN. In view of the detail on the upper section of the picture, Malcolm scanned it in better detail for me; this is the first time that I have seen the buildings complete in Albert Street and the building in Branwell s Grain Yard.
Of course today this would not be allowed unless cleared by planning, the local health and safety executive, public/employer liability insurance is in place and a person with a clip board said it was OK. Or am I just being cynical?
