Glad you like it ... it was one of those days, I started out with a simple walk up Chywoone. I decided to track down through Gwavas, and came across the lane at the bottom ... hmm, wonder where this leads? Got up further, went into the fields on the seaward side, walked a circle past the top of the old quarry, met some very pleasant people and they pointed out the way to Price s Folly; to be honest, I was rather done in by then, but since I had wanted to get to the top of the artificial hill for years, while I was there, up I go.
Exhilerated, but totally shattered, the legs were beginning to give out (slipped discs and arthritis), and I eventually made it down to Newlyn again. I intend going up there again, now I know how to get there, but next time I will get to Paul by bus. That cottage that you are in was a regular problem house, and I spent absolutely ages getting it right. ::6:
Well next time knock the door, missp is usually there as she is the warden, and looking at the clock, she reckons she was loading the grandchildren in the car about then { cant see that in the picture}and was probably ready for a cuppa herself after a hard afternoons play laugh#
Thank you very much indeed, very kind of you. I have just checked my maps, and this hill is not Price s Folly - that is to the south of Tredavoe; this is a hill built in the early days of the Quarry, and later covered in topsoil. No wonder it showed fields on the 1875 OS map. Never mind, still a good view to be gained from the hill and top.
