17th January 2009; Tide returning 4pm; High Tide about 7pm. Winds building with gusts between 60 and 70mph, my feet were lifting off the Promenade, and it was at times impossible to stand without grabbing the railing. It appears that winds are dropping right now, but thankfully we do not have a very high tide to come.
