The top of Morrab Gardens, when it had the cast-iron shelter;
The gardens show a distinct air of the great care with which they were endowed.
These were the days when people were employed because they had knowledge and talent in a particular area, not to satisfy any other agenda.
These gardens were lavished by hand, getting down on hands and knees,
close up and personal.
Not then the grind of half a ton of machinery and 'when is knocking off time'....
This was a time when we could walk through the gardens in total peace and quiet
and no diving into the hedge to allow a car to pass through.
