Wherrytown Sea Wall 1968

Wherrytown Seawall 1968, showing the new building for Harveys, and the Beachfield Flats, both of which were 'off my drawing board' as being Cowell, Drewitt and Wheatly buildings. Note the cupolas on The Pavilion. The building to the far left was a Public House then.
Absolutely; aging properly requires care and attention (as much as in humans, you have to care for the exterior and the heart); takes a lot of work and investment which obviously was not undertaken. Architecturally they were the answer of the age to the design parameters. In hindsight our land has been blighted by concrete frame construction of this kind. I would be glad to see these pulled down.
