Penpol Jewel, Hayle - 1

Carnsew Gallery; Originally John Runnals' butcher's shop,
Fine quality decorative green and cream faience, inset mosaic porch step and high relief ceramic panels in granite.
The building was designed by Samson Hill (of Redruth) in 1894.
The tiling and bull design was made by a Staffordshire factory.
If Hayle was suddenly wiped clear of buildings, this would be the greatest loss.
Details and notes of the building will follow. 4th April 2009.
Not a great deal gladdens me these days, but it was so rewarding at last to see it and in such care and condition, ::15: There is more - and I have caught some special fishing vessels today, as well as Nab entering Dry Dock, so I will be busy for a while - busy is good. ::15:

Sounds good. At least you have a balance of going out and enjoying the spring weather, and being welded to the PC.
