Isn t this building a great survival and it is good to see it cared for and in viable commercial use. Even if we do not care for plastic, it is a great old building being used and appreciated, adapted to contemporary requirements and still in good shape.
coincidentally, 360 miles into our journey home for our Easter break, we stopped outside here yesterday evening to get a takeaway supper. Hayle was looking well-kempt as we passed through.
It may not be always so, but I saw just one car on a pavement, and that was for ten minutes only; I saw no litter on the streets, I was not belayed by skate boards or cycles; The playgrounds were full of pleasant people the skate park was full of youngsters that were not rowdy or foul mouthed. They were just having fun. I feel under threat in Penzance most of the time. Two youngsters met me on a narrow path - they stood to one side with a kind smile (not that I was wanting them to do that), refreshing, I have to say. I saw two tiny pieces of graffiti, and the things left in the stream (three) may well have been left there by May Gurney.
A lesson for the rest of Penwith. ::6:
