Copperhouse Canal

As a part of the ingenuity that operated Hayle and the harbour, beyond the use of pressured sluices to free the estuary of sand, and to create channels, off the south side of Copperhouse Pool was built a canal, to allow ships to berth at quays, taking grain for Loggans Mill. There were a series of sluices that also powered Cornwall's only tidal mill. 6th April 2009
