This branch was built in 1852, connecting to the Hayle Railway of 1837. It served North Quay and the Hayle Gas Company (from 1888 - buildings remain). The
lines of this second group are surrounded with a floor of red bricks, edged with yellow bricks. There are much older lines and evidence of previous lines. It is my initial guess the lines here are c1920. The yard here was later used for coal, but perhaps not initially designed for that. North Quay itself was built in 1811.
