One of the red bricks, as seen, NORI - H, with the classic inset formed by a screwed brass panel in the base of the moulding box.

Sorry, don t have anything in my archives to even give me a clue, but will keep looking!
 
It appears these type of bricks date before 1930 - some were used in the Empire State Building. So called because it is iron in reverse. Accrington manufactured, acid resistant. I will look on some more .....
 
Been in business since 1887. They may well be interested in this area of flooring .
 
Practice, that is all. I have been so used to selective speed reading when looking for a material or product when I was in charge of building projects, also analysing between real info and fluffy drudgery. It helps me when searching the net. It is important when net searching to keep phrases and word groups in the right order and to be creative and to vary some words - it is also important to place some words in quotes, to prevent parallel useless answers and those that are best avoided.
