A very simple old box camera will suffice, it is the support that makes the difference and the method of depressing the shutter release.

A fairly economically priced first line camera, but with some drawbacks. It is entirely up to you, but if I were you, I would go a little higher; I would especially go for higher than 6.1 Mp. Whilst adequate, if spending that type of money may as well go for something better. I would go for the D60. The difference is spectacular.
Looking at the picture, which direction is it facing? I saw the moon late last night, maybe 1230 and it was sharply to the East and already mid zenith, hiding in the misty clouds.
