When Mr Branwell had his grain store and office built here, he would have looked out over a busy harbour, with ships coming and going, some ships built in Hayle, a busy quayside, coal ships owned by local companies, crews paid for by local money, fed with food from local produce, local bakers, clothes made in local shops ..... what have we got now, half a harbour, no local money, no local owners, masses of prepacked food from anywhere but around here, and precious little respect or pride.
