With portrait format, unless the picture is a matter of up to three degrees off level, re-levelling on the PC will result in massive loss on the edges.
It still gives good composition if the subject around the edges is not vital but I agree in principle, Treeve. This is a really good view so don t wish to be seeming highly critical but was just making a suggestion. Hope Denamor understands that as he contributes really interesting and aesthetic pictures, I know.
Indeed, the major contribution to the balance of this picture is the iron gate; there are digital techniques that can be applied to such pictures, but they can take some considerable time; if we are talking composition here (this is not a criticism) it would assist if the picture was merely shortened omitting the horizon altogether; that would avoid the visual disparity. Just a tip that I learned over the years.
