In the good old days (well I thought so anyway!) the back of the Star was a soft play area with ballpools and slides. It was heaven! This room is now a seating area - the steps possibly lead up to the pool table area? (6/4/88)
Seriously tho, we had several b day parties in the play area, you could hire it and private parties, do your own catering etc. it was brill for the kids. I have several vids of them.
