Market Jew Street 3

Possibly 1983 due to building work next to Post Office.
No, once again looking at the cars and the clothes, musch earlier, late 1960 s/early 1970 s I am sure, whateer year, it was Summer ::1: ::1:

Hate to disagree but I will! laugh# I still believe early eighties, mostly based on the building work next to the Post Office. Also the Mr Smith sign. I remember cars like that in the eighties. Anyone else have any thoughts?

I agree, denanmor, early 80s. Is that an Austin Allegro (with its back towards the camera) parked down by the crossing?

Sorry boys it s later than that. Although you re right about the cars remember that most people still had very old cars down here, new ones were rare. Anyway the clue to this picture being early 1990 s is the demolition of A H Davey the wine merchant next door to the main post office. The newly built site housed the alliance and Leicester building society.

@Ding Dong you may be right. It s an Austin Princess to be sure and not the later model by Leyland. This is the Vanden Plas !
