Alverton

Looking east, showing the Pirate Inn to the right.
Nope, not there ... you need to stand in the road centre, at the bottom of the hill, which leads to Willow Fields and Tredarvah Estate entrance; and face the town, to your right of picture will be the stone of the old clapper bridge. I will get one later today, when the legs are steadier. OK

This picture is looking North-East; in 1875, the Inn was then Alverton Farm.
At the bottom of the hill is Tredarvah Farm , on the hill is Tredarvah House (in the trees).

Yeah, thought it looked wrong, but I only had time to pop out of the car and take a shot. If you don t manage to I ll have a more leisurely wander later ::15:

One thing that will be a great loss in the near future will be the great cherry tree in the Pirate foreourt; due to lack of proper care, it has begun to lean over the last ten years, and without proper support and proper surgery it will pull its own roots out of the soil by its own weight.

Pictures now obtained, also of the bridge wall at river level. Uploads later.
