There was a picture of the sculptor with the Mayor, Roy Mann, but I cant remember what the sculptor was called
Saw the artist at work on this so now I see it's finished, I can go back and have a good look. Sorry, can't remember his name either, but if it's who I think it is, he's quite prolific and saw him on local news earlier in the year or last year perhaps. We've got a carved candle stick holder of his which looks even better now than when we bought it as the wood has aged. Great stuff!
Sculptor Peter Martin was commissioned by Penzance Town Council and Penwith Housing Association to create a Green Man woodland themed sculpture out of the Macro Carpo tree that had to be cut down after specialist advice. It took about three weeks to do!
is a good piece of art, and I believe the sculpture continues all around the tree....havent had a chance to look at this closer, even though I walk pass this several times a day...done a brill job!
