U.S.Army

In connection with the Ludlow's with Pfc.John P.Wintonick who was stationed in Penzance with the 175 Infantry,29th Division U.S.Army 1943-44. He went ashore in the second wave of men and was wounded on D Day he must have survived the war
as the enclosed picture is of an entry of his name on the National War Memorial
in Washington D.C. as a veteran
A lot of complaints from some as to over and over here, but they were over here for us, The Brits. My mother liked them ... ::15:

The war graves lists 620 men of the 29th division in the American Cemetery at Normandy and Cambridge and the names of those who were reduced to parts are enscribed on a wall

When I look at what people endured and lost over the centuries and in the Wars, I ask myself what have we got to complain about (in general).

As isn t Penzance related but you are a Janner... I ll move this to a new Janners album for you for future generations to see. I ll send you details of this Welb1931
