Yes, it later became a garage with the coming of motor vehicles....

Penwith District Council owned the Western Hotel late 70s/early 80 s, Penwith kept doors and windows for their housing stock there, lots of which were stolen. Dustcarts were kept in there, too.

In the 60 s it was the car park for the hotel if I remember correctly.
