@ Hh......It was a young lady driver who had just passed her driving tests by a few days..she was cited for
driving without due care and attention....by the way the guy on the ground is yours truly..
It looks as if you were travelling along Alverton Road and she turned into your path.
What damage did you sustain? No helmet I see..... can't quite make the bike out... is it a Norton Dominator?
I was driving along in a leisurely manner applying some lipstick when suddenly a motorbike appeared from nowhere officer. Seriously though welb. I hope you came away without too much damage.
That said I see things haven't changed that much over the past 51 year.... The photographer still made it to the scene of the accident before the ambulance or police ..... what are we like! honestly... as said above hope it wasn't too serious.
@Hh.....My helmet flew off on contact with the car I remember someone picked a shoe from across the road
outside of Lane's, there were two ambulances tied up in the traffic jam..one was used to transport me to W.C
Hospital and then on to R.C.I at Truro with a fractured thigh, the picture from The Cornishman was taken by
the late Harry Penhaul.......accident scenes were treated as news items in those days.
@chillyW.....one morning a few weeks ago I followed a blonde combing her hair...it turned out
what I thought was a she happened to be a he....and of course today there is texting and sexting
by young and old to add to the dangers of driving...........
Just seen this, brings back memories when about to go across the road about 62'3 when I got bowled over by an ambulance heading out of town, it used to be a dangerous turning before the one way. At the time I was on a Greaves 197 trail bike......ah...memories.....
