You ve found a beautiful cluster of sea anemones - anemonia sulcata / oplet in this pool. They are also found as beige or brown. All the rest of the rockpools seem to be choked up with Japanese seaweed today, something that seems to have happened since I last looked at low tide down there. I remember some black and white hooped/striped ones in the highest pool of the island when I was a boy but have never seen them again since. Judging by my Hamlyn guide to the seashore, I think they were either halcampa chrysanthemum [ peach ] or peachia hastata [gosse] but I can t find either of these black and white ones pictured on the Web by these names.
I m still around but too mesmerised by your incredible recognition of the locations of mystery pictures to try myself unless such time as one jumps out at me, !
