Came across this at the top of the Dell. There used to be an old hospital somewhere in this area, wasn't there.? I was just wondering if this was in the right place and might have been part of it?
The entrance to the Isolation Hospital was in a west to east direction more or less where The Ropewalk begins
there was an entry gate and a drive way through the trees that continued up the hill to the hospital; I seem to
remember it to be a place of wooden structure, a long time ago my stay there was in the early 1930s. I was taken there
in a horse drawn ambulance with scarlet fever, one thing I do remember is feeding the free running chicken they had there
when I was on the mend...
