Although marked Abbey Warehouse, this is a modern name; it was built for the merchant John Coulson, hence for more years than I care to remember it was Coulson s Granary. It was built around 1850; there are allusions to there having been a Bonded store here as a lower building, but I have seen no evidence, and I have found evidence to the contrary. I am writing more to go on my website concerning this, as it was all Richard Oxnam property in 1810, cliffs existed here in 1817.
