Cloggy Mellor

My father's print; from the 1980s I suspect.
James Music Shop! Look at the Number!! only four digits.......mine out in the sticks used to be three and I can still remember my number....

I had a friend with the phone number St Just 6 . His father was head lighthouse keeper at Pendeen Watch so I wasn t encouraged to phone. The vicar and a farmer son I knew each had two digit numbers.

Thats so interesting....I used to live in Sancreed....632 was our number...may have known your vicar and Farmer son as I used to live on a working farm....(well maybe not me but my mum might know of them) ::15:

Am right in thinking that Cloggy Mellor had some link with one of the houses opposite the Yacht in some way?

Thanks, Wellb, I did wonder if that was his home. In New Street, our first number was Penzance 4302 (1950s)! All this calls to mind the old guys that used to stand near the GPO in Market Jew Street selling Blue Cross matches and suchlike, and I even remember an occasional scissor/knife grinder in New Street.
