2009 - Avant Garde Exhibit

Quite - the great Brian Sewell once entered a room full of exhibits, one of which turned out to be simply the fact that someone had placed their handbag on a chair - he was quite acidic in his comments about such exhibits; only recently there has been a chair upturned resting its back upon the floor. The instant urge for viewers is to pick up the chair and place it against the wall, whereupon I have no doubt they are reprimanded for interfering with a work of art . Pretentious twaddle.
