Army on Promenade in Penzance

It would not surprise me at all to be told that my grandfather was in this parade. Most of these men did not come home and are remembered by a poppy. My grandfather did come home. I find this picture to be quite overwhelming.

An amazing and evocative picture brought home all the more strongly as the background view of the Beachfield etc. is so familiar.
