Dutch Consul to Penzance from 1924 to 1946

We had any number of Dutch Fishing Vessels arriving at Newlyn, with their crews who would have had the same issues to be dealt with as they do now, but that was before the ordinary person had a phone, let alone could afford the calls, before any form of Rights were available and so on, and it was entirely down to the Consul to attend meetings and to attend to the needs of the subject of Holland and The Netherlands. (Like saying England and the United Kingdom). For an example - look at my pages on the loss of the seven Dutch cargo ships in 1917. The man was a rock for the crews.
