Holmans fixed it last time [for FREE] , but someone (nudge nudge, know what I mean squire) neglected to keep the maintenance going. Sorry if I am bitter about this, but I find it to be insulting in the extreme for a group of officials to neglect their heritage.
What I would like to see is HES having more powers than they do at present (which basically appears to be no better than collator and scribe); I want them to have strong powers to prevent the loss of heritage, and to have control over the coffers, and the care of our past. A step better than EH and the NT, who seem more to be a bunch of accountants. ( Glad as I am for the work that they do).
This will be the first generation that will leave the world a worse place, with no primary monuments that future generations will admire; it will be a generation of loss of the best. What is produced is of such quality I would apply trash to most of it. The price of everything and the value of nothing. There is no worth in what is being decided at endless round table conferences. There is no worth in ignoring people.
