Our Price, The Terrace

REMEMBER OUR PRICE WE NEED A GOOD MUSIC SHOP
They drove the Oboes (they are masonry nails what?) into the Rec with a 10 pound hammer

I used to frequent James Music Shop; Parkers had a massive store top floor (Isobel used to work in there - lovely girl); Boots had a large record section, in fact it was a sale in there that introduced me to 'Furrin' music, with Magma a Swiss group - collection has grown since. Then there was a record store top of The Terrace, can't remember the name, still have some of those - Tornados, Spotnicks and so on...

Mr.James used to ask me to come in and tune the twelve string guitars as he couldn't, he always had a reasonable record collection or could get hold of them. Between him and Penwith Music Shop we had vynal and sheet music covered.

James Music Shop - was that the one at the bottom of MJS on the right? It's now a jewellery shop or art gallery or coffee shop - can't remember.

Yes, also went to Boots too - as my mum worked there we had discount too. Nice.

Just remembered the shop I used to go in for sheet music, The shop is now the pizzeria opposite top of Causewayhead. Music was everywhere. Musicians and instruments, records ....

I remember a Mrs Pooley at Penwith Music shop I berlieve it was taken over by her daughter on retirement, thats a
few years back.....
