I have it on good authority, Mrs Nicholls, sadler's wife, that it was a bomb site. Damage also done at same time in St James Street, Alma Place or Terrace and Barwis Hill. The Nicholls family had to move out of the sadler's shop to Nancledra for a while.Must try to upload some scout photos of you some time, as you don't seem to have any!!!
The raid on Alma Terrace and St James Street took place on a sunday evening an enemy aircraft circled the bay then made a run in releasing its bombs..there were members of the Beare family (butchers) killed at Alma Tce...
