Remembering Absent Friends

It pays to reflect on the different lives that we lead, now; my grandfather (rejoiced in the name Francis Orlando Thompson) used to be happy in the tale that he did not have a friend in the world - he had outlived them all - he died at 62.

Reminds me of Jan's Devonian dad and his friend Fred Wynch!
