A World War I destroyer scrapped by Thomas W Ward at the quay at Lelant around 1920; the destroyer is reputed to have been in service at Jutland. There is a strange device welded to the hull in the form of a radiating sun. The side of the destroyer has been used as a 'retaining wall' for many years; it obviously has a limited life in that capacity and before it either collapses or becomes the victim of HSE, it would be good to identify her. 1949. My own opinion is that the hull should be cleared of the stupid dumping of lamp posts, and the pathway diverted/strengthened.
