Not sure if they lit the beacon for the queens jubilee, the foliage around it had been cut, but as you see not prepared for lighting though, taken on Monday 4th
I like the way your horizons are all level and your contrast is so good. I visited this beacon with my wife a year or so ago, never having been aware that it existed until I explored, having been told by someone with whom I was working while with the N.T. on St Michael's Mount. When i took that pic Phil, i also actually went up into the fields behind the beacon. and walked along there, some decent shots there too, i'm planning on going there to take a pic of the mount when it's lit up and the weather is better (about 2014 ). As for the horizon being level, it's something i'm conscious of when i'm taking pics of the sea, I don't always get it level when i take the pics, but i always make sure it's level before anyone sees it, (if it not being level bugs me, i know it will bug other people), here's another pic i took on the same day http://picturepenzance.co.uk/album.php?albumid=27&attachmentid=772
