Back in Penzance, at the harbour, I was met by various sights, some of which you will see .... The lighthouse pier was closed, as there were dangerous waves. Frankly, I saw bigger waves on Carnsew Pool today. I am heartily sick of this nannying brought on by insurances and TV generated legal claims. I want to decide for myself if it is dangerous and if I want to take reasoned risks. I told this seal it was dangerous, but he seemed quite at ease staying here on the surface for twenty minutes or more.
Grey Seal Halichoerus grypus, Britain's largest carnivore (length 2metres and up to 2.3), half the world's population live in British Waters.
