Never ceases to amaze me what people will steal, with a blatant disregard to what their actions may cause. While I was living in London, there was a spate of old flagstone pavements being lifted and stolen and then presumably sold on for a quick profit. The gang or gangs were well prepared, they had all the equipment needed and even wore fake Council work clothes so that if they were stopped or questioned by people passing by, they just said it was 'council renovations and repairs'.
