As a child, I can remember that literally was the case if you swam off Penzance beach. And the rock pools at low tide were full of toilet paper and other unmentionable items as well ....

It's currently closed, empty as far as I'm aware and looking very much destined for the bulldozer.

Possibly one of the improvements to be applied to Penzance. £1.2 million awarded. £1m for the bombs, and the rest for the dozers.
