Earle's Retreat

http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-460237-earle-s-retreat-falmouth Earle's Retreat, in Trelawney Road, is an almshouse charity. It was founded in 1869 by George Earle, of Philadelphia USA and a native of Falmouth, as "a lasting benefit to the aged and deserving inhabitants" of Falmouth.

This modernisation began in 1983; Geoffrey Drewitt "passed away" in 1987, I have other photographs, as well as drawings; these taken in 1989, will have to serve as a fiiting reminder of an age long gone.
