Ford Consul 01

Ford Consul Mk1 - I believe 1951-1956
Yes indeed a Ford Consul. The date of this registration is difficult to ascertain because the registration system was run by the local councils then. That said I can tell you that it was registered in Staffordshire as the plate shows the RF prefix Basically the local councils had a prefix and then they could choose a letter and then three digits.
You'd be interested to learn that a similar registration went for auction on the DVLA website and fetched £16,000.
Still lovely little car I think my father had one. Top speed 75mph in-line 4 (typical of the British motor industry at the time).
This is an interesting car because it has the original mirror placement and upgraded indicators... wow great find treeve!::7:

Oh... forgot to add an car like this in fair condition should fetch between £4,000 to £8,000
