Stewart's Buildings. Built 1881 by Perkins, Caldwell and Caldwell; at the time, Oliver Caldwell was a builder's apprentice with his family's firm. The lion motif on the blind-boxes is exactly the same as the firm used on Albert Terrace c 1868, where both John Perkins lived (at Nr 1) and the Caldwell family lived (Nr 8). The same detailing is also used on the house on the top corner of Adelaide Street; Caldwell's Road was also of this firm's building work.
