Free ticket for DEMELZAS

60p who would have believed that?? but the offer for 60p is only till 11pm...still brilliant!! I personally don t remember the free ticket....but someone else might?

strictly over 18 we started going at 15 and loved every minute. happy memories !!!

Drank there, danced there and worked there. It was a crime that this place was allowed to shut and although comparitively modern it s history with regards to contempory music second to none in the south west. The lists of bands that appeared at this venue either as the Winter Gardens or Demelza s through the 60 s, 70 s and early 80 s would grace any of the big clubs in Manchester or London at the time. This was mainly down to the amazing peruasive powers of John Adams. I mentioned on one of tpp s pictures that I borrowed a pair of my brothers stacked heel boots to enable me to look 4 inches taller and gain entry to see Hawkwind. Great times.

Worked the bar there in the late 60 s and played there many times in the 70 s, shame it s gone. sad#
