Good Wishes

Every Service man (wherever they were, training camp or in action) who went out from Penzance received a Christmas Card, personally signed by the mayor, every year, to show the support given by the townspeople. This card was sent out 18th December 1943. Postage two and a half pence (when there were 240 pence in the Pound). Robert Thomas was Mayor 1943, 1944 and 1945.
