Until referring to a wildflower book just now, I believed gorse bloomed twice a year but that this was because there were two types growing down here. I am not so sure now. There is Western Gorse apparently, which blooms from July to November, and plain and simple Gorse which blooms all the year round. Other pictures will follow where i am able to indicate the date more accurately but this was certainly in Spring beside the St Erth River. I love its smell of coconut milk/vanilla/marzipan.
