Compare this with the old one that I posted up ... was that car owned by a tobacconist? I seem to remember him, he was a friend of my father s.

He used to enter hill climbing at Trengwainton and Blue Hills at St. Agnes.

Yes, I m glad someone else remembers Dennis Scobie. He kept Bassetts tobacconists for many years, a lovely old shop. He competed at Trengwainton hill-climb without fail for decades. I remember he always drove a red Morgan three-wheeler when I used to attend in the 1960s.

A friend of mine has some pictures of the hill climb taken in the 60 s, he s trying to find them for me. I used to go there myself and can still remember the smell in the pit area, Castrol GTX laugh#
