Has St Michael's Mount pulled anchor and drifted away?

Is this St Michael's Mount? It looks as though it's miles off coast. Has there been an inundation? One never knows what to expect nowadays what with earthquakes and volcanoes! There is said to have been an earthquake on St Michael's Mount in 1275, I think. In fact, this is another famous rock cluster. I wonder what you think it is!!!
The bay had a more recent earthquake than that, fair shook Marazion. Are those the Brisons before me?

Yes indeed!! I was in church for Mass on a Sunday about 10-12 years ago (?) and the priest was giving his sermon when we had a strong tremor which really made the fabric of the Catholic Church shudder. When it had stopped and he was able to proceed with his sermon, he made everyone laugh when he remarked, 'What an audio-visual aid!' I believe the tremor was of strength 4.3, a prodigious shake for Penzance!

That was the one ... another in 1757 and in 1793 .... That is what I have on my list.
