The shutter range is very wide, but yesterday was very windy, and the gulls love being able to just fly with the wind under their wings, So, this young chap was quite still in the picture. The more experienced flyers can swoop and dive in it. I am trying to get better pictures of birds in flight, and, like this young lad, I need more practice. Birds amaze me, on top of all the other functions of living, they use the most incredible natural ability and technology to become masters of the air and water. Humans have to use machines, for the most part. Nature is wonderful .... but hang on to your pasty ....
