The Mermaid, sat as it is the last pub in Hugh Town, on the water's edge.
My Uncle Leslie's (on my father's side of the family) favourite place.
I have never known anyone with so much taste for life, so much fun and so much roguery.
Except for my Uncle Basil, perhaps.
