Across the road, The Kavorna; an excellent place for meals, packed lunch or home baked cakes.
It used to be two separate buildings, one a house, in which Janie Slaughter lived, and the other my great grandfather's butcher's shop.
The original buildings may even have been those in this position in 1715, as they are on the same alignment as on the 1715 map.
