Next along is The Coop, a particularly poor taste in conversion of an old house, however a popular store (with good reason);
and next to that is this well ordered design by Frederick Drewitt (architectural good manners). Unfortunately the bank has decided to replace the 4 x 5 paned vertical sash windows with 'narsty plarstic' 1989, and there are moves afoot to get that changed to something with a great deal more taste. This building is dated 1935.
To the left of the bank can be seen the remnants of the old cottages, which fell into poor condition after fires and floods, as well as general decay.
